Belize: A Brief Stop in Paradise

A few hours ashore in Belize, where a vivid mural said more about the country than any itinerary could.

Sometimes a destination leaves a lasting impression even when you only spend a few hours there. During a Caribbean cruise, I made a brief stop in Belize, a country known for its rich Mayan history, dense rainforests, and incredible biodiversity.

A mural that quietly summarizes the whole country.

While I don't have many photos from the visit, this mural perfectly captures what Belize represents: ancient temples rising from the jungle, colorful tropical birds, and iconic wildlife like jaguars and tapirs.

It was a short visit, but enough to spark an appreciation for a country that blends natural beauty, history, and adventure into one remarkable destination.
