This is a personal journal. We don't ask you to create an account or hand over personal information. The site may process standard web analytics (pages viewed, approximate location, browser type) and, with your consent, advertising cookies that help fund the site.
Cookies and your consent
Google Consent Mode defaults advertising and analytics storage to denied. Advertising is enabled only when Google’s privacy message records the required permissions. If that message is not configured or available, advertising stays disabled and a separate analytics-only choice is offered.

Third-party services
- Google Analytics — Google Analytics 4 measures aggregated site usage. GA4 does not log or store IP addresses.
- Google AdSense — Google, as a third-party vendor, may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your visit here and to other sites. Google and its third-party ad partners may show personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your consent choice. Embedded content
YouTube videos use youtube-nocookie.com and load after you press play. Playing a video sends information to YouTube. Country flags load from flagcdn.com. Exchange rates come from open.er-api.com; map boundaries come from jsDelivr; the visitor counter uses abacus.jasoncameron.dev. These services receive technical request information, such as an IP address and browser details. Privacy-enhanced video embedding does not mean no data is transferred.
Your rights (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion, object to processing, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority. Use the contact page for requests concerning this site.
Your rights (US states)
Where applicable, you may opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising, including through Google’s US state privacy message. Advertising stays disabled here until the required consent is available.
Email subscriptions
If you subscribe, your email address is stored only to send you new posts. Unsubscribe anytime by replying to any email or using the contact page.
Data retention
Analytics retention follows the Google Analytics property settings. The requested 14-month retention setting has not yet been verified in the account. Cookie choices remain in your browser until you change or clear them. Third-party providers apply their own retention policies.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
